By having my oil changed at Palumbo’s in Guilford Ct. quick change oil places and new car dealerships have never told me of an existing problem if the problem was still under factory warranty. Message: The owner of this shop saw I had a flat tire when I was going to get coffee. I am not familiar with the area, so he advised I go to his shop and they would be able to help me. He called the shop within minutes, I got there, they greeted me and immediately knew what I was there for. They patched my tire within 15 minutes and we’re extremely courteous/kind during my experience. I have never had such a pleasant experience with an automotive shop! Message: I brought my car in because my power steering pump was shot (I’d been pouring in goo for weeks) and then my battery died and the tow truck driver said my alternator was going bad. Always honest, the folks at Palumbo’s examined my car and said I did need a new steering pump, but my alternator was fine and my battery was at 75%. Saved me a boat-load of money with their honesty. They did the work quickly and well, everything was reasonably priced, and they even had a team of drivers caravan up and drop off my car because I’m a single parent and couldn’t go get it. Couldn’t be happier. I’ve been using Palumbo’s for years and they always do right by me!

Message: My most recent encounter with Palumbo’s tops anything I’ve ever experienced with an automotive repair shop. And it’s a really good thing. AAA (regardless of many year’s membership) refused to help me remove old, rusted on, wheels off my small utility trailer. Thankfully, Matt at Palumbo’s said he’d be happy to help me. That required doing the job, in my driveway, in two parts. 1: remove the old wheels/tires, no easy task (I tried but couldn’t do it). And since I needed to wait for the replacement wheels to be shipped; 2: return, a second time, several days later and install the new wheels. What’s really amazing is this. Matt and the other mechanic, who worked with him, seemed as happy to be helping me as I was appreciative of them for getting me out of this jam.
